Tooth Decay Treatment in Brampton

Tooth Decay

Tooth decay, alternatively known as a dental decay is responsible for the deterioration of teeth due to the accumulation of bacteria in the sparse area of the teeth.

You will not notice any initial signs of a dental decay; however, when the extent of the cavity excavates further, it might make your teeth sensitive to certain temperatures, and pain could be extremely excruciating to some people.

When dental decay is left untreated, it results in the bacteria attacking the pulp tissue located in the center of a tooth, which can cause an indefinite amount of pain.

If you start taking medications for pain management, you might feel some relief however you should consult your dentist for treatment. If the problem is left untreated, you may experience inflammation around the tissue surrounding your tooth, abscess, dental infection, and ultimately a loss of the affected tooth.

How can I prevent tooth decay?

The long term side effects of tooth decay could be overwhelming; therefore, it is best to start seeking treatment for the dental condition as soon as possible. To prevent tooth decay, you should practice proper oral hygiene, have regular teeth cleanings, cut down the consumption of acidic and sugary foods and beverages and reduce the use of fluoride in general.

You should make a routine of brushing your teeth at least twice a day and floss between your teeth once in a day.
